Take a look at the orientation on page 1. It faces south, where the sun is high. To the west, where it is lower in the evening, is the short side.

I find what I see on Google under "terrazza Pure" very well suited to the architectural style. How much is this fun supposed to cost?
Otherwise, "Groja Cube" comes to mind, or a nice sun sail (although sails have to be quite large to provide adequate shade).

In addition, the next house is about 14 meters away to the south from the end of the terrace. We will probably try that for a year. If the sun should then glare, there are still vertical awnings, which we could retrofit. With an under-roof awning about 15-20 thousand euros, depending on the equipment ... but the inclined roofing from the same manufacturer costs about the same. On the one hand, they are not available in that size, and on the other hand, we want a fixed roof.

And? What’s happening with the approval? Has your terrace roof been approved? Otherwise, I’d like to liven up this thread a bit

It’s really got us down now. Since the storm shattered our beloved pavilion , something else has to come soon. We often have wind from the west on our south-facing terrace, and our furniture suffers from the moisture. Even our beautiful granite terrace is already turning green. Decorative candle on the table won’t stay lit, etc... none of this is ideal. Long story short: It will be roofed over

Seriously! but without vertical awnings, instead with sliding doors on one side. Planned size: 3 x 5. Someone even gave us offers for 3.5 x 5. We quickly realized that many are just salespeople, but some install themselves. We want the installers because of our external insulation. KD and companies like that don’t operate in northern Germany, but we want everything from one source. One of our favorites called me yesterday and talked with me for half an hour to tell me his roofs would be too expensive for me... because I requested an affordable version in the offer. He did give me some tips (which I have already forgotten again ) Now comes the house number: 3.5 x 5 meters sliding side part including wedge laminated safety glass 14 LEDs electric awning all foundations and external thermal insulation system anchors Just under €15,000 Question: middle post ... is it needed or is the look more important? Somehow I feel the middle post could still be useful?! My husband doesn’t want it. We don’t see any potential for savings now if the roof is supposed to fit the house and enhance it.?! You?

Price-wise, the offer is at the level of our canopy. We also live in the north...

A central post was necessary for us with a width of 6m. At 5m, I think you can do without it. I would have opted out of the central post if it had been possible. What would you need it for (excluding structural reasons)?

The central post is necessary from 4 meters. Or there is a reinforcement.
I was thinking of a visual separation. Maybe you could hang a sail there or the hammock on the lawn. Maybe also the wildlife camera... or an additional lighting...

Do you still know where you got it from?

It almost looks as if you have good contacts at our building authority .
The building permit arrived yesterday.

From which roofer is it?
In the meantime, we have also obtained a few more offers. There is, on the one hand, the offer from Weinor and, on the other hand, from some other no-name providers, which are about 1/3 cheaper.
