Urinal) such is marked in the guest WC. By the way, the architect seems to believe the symbols and has not planned any toilets at all, but bidets instead. I would rather find those as additional features.

angeklatschte Fensterlaibungen) well, I mean that in the mentioned rooms window recesses without stops are aligned flush with the walls. That does not fit with such houses, rather with the "Bauhaus" style.

Architect) In these drawings, at least in several places, familiar grid dimensions can still be seen. I do not quite follow the wall thickness; the air layer seems quite generously measured to me. and: yes, now and then you think the whole draft was sloppy. I imagine perceiving a general quality difference between the generations "pencil" and "mouse".

Hello Hofhaus, welcome to the forum.

Consider whether you want to place the sofas like that in front of the window wall, and what view you will then have from the windows. In my opinion, these windows don’t make sense there. I would move the wall half a meter to make room for the office; otherwise, no sofa bed will fit in the office. That would be a shame for the shower. Utility room: consider whether you want to carry laundry through the living room, then the kitchen, into the utility room. Personally, I don’t like that and would basically be against a trapped utility room. Maybe the WC could be reduced in size and the access planned from there?! Upstairs, I don’t like the door/hallway situation to the master area.

Hello Yvonne,

Thank you very much for your opinion!

I will really think again about the enclosed utility room. I liked the direct access through the kitchen, as, for example, a second sink will be installed there, and when cooking for many people it can also serve as additional storage space, but I hadn't yet thought about the laundry and having to always go through the kitchen. Thanks for the suggestion.

We are actually also considering upstairs. Somehow it is difficult to fit 4 rooms plus a dressing room. The dressing room is important to me for general stuff like towels and bed linen. I don't necessarily need two bathrooms there. As long as there is another shower downstairs, one bathroom upstairs would be enough. Somehow I haven't found a perfect solution while researching (most houses are simply designed for two children). I find the one from our architect good, but not ideal yet.

What do you actually think about opening the rooms upstairs up to the roof? Does that have advantages or disadvantages? I have seen that in some model home parks but found little information about it. Maybe I am missing the right term to Google.

Thank you already for your suggestions.

Room with high ceiling: More expensive, you have to heat more.

Heating: hardly significant.
I would open everything upwards that can be opened – you get a lot more living value and exclusivity, maybe a loft bed for the children.

I would then do without a second bathroom... but there are also opinions that swear by the second bathroom upstairs even with only one child.

You have possibilities upstairs to untangle the hallway and convert half of the children's bathroom into a laundry room for washing. The main bathroom would then be slightly larger; possibly, one could create a separate toilet with a hand washbasin upstairs within the bathroom? That later reduces disputes about privacy.

The wall in the staircase is under the stairs and indicates the storage room.

Regards, Yvonne

That was clear to me, only not the point of using only half of the space under the stairs as a storage room and bricking up a lost recess of it. If a secret safe is supposed to go there, I wouldn't put it on the Internet.
