I also think that the clearance widths work. 1.10 meters is definitely enough; the 90 cm is tight, but since it's only hip height, I don't think it will feel cramped.

I would definitely utilize the space along the wall up to the fireplace if I were you. However, not exclusively with tall cabinets. The tricky part of such planning is that while an island is great for working, you still need a place to store the coffee machine, stand mixer, toaster, or whatever else. You don't want to put those on the nice island. So I would tend to have, on the right side from top to bottom, two 60 cm tall cabinets, then two base cabinets, and then two more 60 cm tall cabinets. The 157 cm measurement for the base cabinets is a bit awkward; 160 cm would be better. But a 100 cm and a 50 cm base cabinet with wall cabinets above featuring three 50 cm doors would probably look good too.

Regarding the island, you need to consider what will go there. Assuming an 80 cm cooktop and a 60 cm sink, plus 30 cm space on each side and at least 100 cm of working space between them, you're already at about 3 meters. Then the question is whether to include a dishwasher in the island or have it installed elevated in a tall cabinet opposite the island. But that's more of a detail. I think laminate countertops are available in that length, but I'm not sure. With stone countertops, they usually max out at 3.20 meters, so you'd have to do it in sections.

You should only consider such thoughts if your budget is expandable. If the current offer is already close to your vomit limit, then I would not think further.

Hello, Yes, that's true, which is why the offer is still present in our minds. More is always possible if you stretch yourself. However, with the 13.5k we are already roughly at our plan. Do you see the version with the larger island and “nothing” under the window (similar to how pacmansh describes it) as really significantly more expensive than our first variant? I don't really see more “kitchen”. Regards

Well, you still have to check what kind of cabinets you actually have in the plan. You wrote drawer cabinets, what does that mean? Are there two drawers, three, four? Shallow carcass or tall, etc.

And only doors on the sink side in your offer. I say storage planning and seriously consider whether you want to save on drawers now and put these door cabinets there. The kitchen will probably accompany you for at least the next 20 years.

If the budget for the kitchen is tight, then just go to [Schweden]. It’s good enough. With a bit of assembly skill, you can also manage the "nicetohaves".
