As I see it, the sink is now "at the top," "only" cabinets and wall cabinets are on the wall to the right, and at the end of those, the stove and refrigerator are planned. The distance between the sink and stove/refrigerator would be way too far for me personally. Quickly draining pasta. Quickly washing a cucumber. For me, all that belongs much closer together. Maybe the refrigerator and tall cabinet (that is, a tall cabinet, not a wall cabinet) at the top left (I'm assuming from your sketch on graph paper), then the sink, etc., and the stove on the right wall? Where the stove and refrigerator are now, you could even have space for two tall cabinets again, if you need them.
What bothers me about the current plan is also: if someone stands at the stove for a longer time, it's hardly possible to comfortably get past that person to reach the kitchen.
I also think the deep island is cool. Ideal for baking as well.
Attached is a small update again, it was a bit confusing the way I wrote it down. The cooktop is planned on the island. The oven is next to the refrigerator, with the microwave above it.
Still, I think your approach of considering the paths is good. Currently, we cook a lot with the Thermomix and less with the cooktop, we need to take that into account. Whether that will stay that way, I don't know.
At first, we also wanted to place the oven and refrigerator at the top left, but the kitchen planner didn't really want that because from the living/dining room you then have a nicer, more open view of the wall with the window. The idea would be to leave a side-by-side refrigerator in the current place and move the oven to the top left. What do you think? We like the wall cabinets very much, but the current view is somewhat blocked by the tall cabinets.
The island is also intended for baking :-)
