Hello,

we are currently planning our kitchen

Since it is a large and unclear jungle and everything is hard to compare, I wanted to ask for your help

We believe that when you come to a studio and you don’t exactly know what you want/need, you get ripped off

I wanted to ask you which kitchen brands are good, good quality and durability, and not outrageously overpriced

We basically want a mid-range kitchen for our house

Kitchen cabinets: Nobilia or Nolte kitchens (please name other good brands that meet our criteria

Kitchen appliances: Neff, Bosch, Siemens or which appliance brands would you recommend? The appliances should have good functions and provide comfort

Sink: no idea

I hope you can recommend good brands for cabinets, appliances and sink that you have had good experiences with

maybe there are also kitchen builders among you who can help me further

It's all one brand, including Gaggenau and a bit of small stuff. You can buy it all. There's a wide range from - to. Only with the hood can you opt for a higher-quality manufacturer depending on the requirement. Classics are Franke and Blanco. Any kitchen studio can offer that. Even if prices may start at 25k€, thanks to block billing, house discount, and other "concessions," they usually end up around 12.5k€ everywhere. Go into discussions with a budget and alternatively have them give you a price for the kitchen without appliances - then source and install them yourself.

You can buy Nolte for 8000 euros or for 25000 euros. More important is what you can afford and want. If it should be cheap and good, also take a look at Ikea. The Metod kitchens are top priced. There is an assembly and planning help on Facebook. A few good installers have emerged there who are cheaper than Ikea's installers and support you.

Our budget is about 15K€.

We have already been to a kitchen manufacturer and came to 19K€ for a standard kitchen without any frills.

That’s why we wanted to prepare for the next meeting with another kitchen manufacturer and already specify brands.

Which brand of the hood can you recommend to us? Also Neff, Bosch, and co?

There is good news for you: by now, it is difficult to buy a bad device. Therefore, you really can’t go wrong. You quickly get used to the peculiarities of devices. A wide range of functions exerts a greater appeal on the purchase decision than it brings practical benefits in daily life. (By the way, I regularly fall for the appeal of variety in functions and then talk myself into it afterward). With this background knowledge, you can confidently trust your gut when it comes to the devices.

It is a shame that you believe that. Of course, you are not alone with that. There are certainly bad apples and great providers. You can, with a fairly good probability and some life experience, distinguish these from each other even as a layperson. When you visit, pay attention to the following aspects, among others:

[*]Can I tell that the person opposite loves their job? (e.g. enthusiasm...)
[*]Do I get the impression that the person opposite is interested in us? (and not, for example, only in our plan and a few expressed wishes, or pay attention to the answers to your questions – is there just a simple answer, or is the person also interested in the background of the question...)
[*]Do people in the studio treat each other in a way that I find pleasant and good? (Thesis: Anyone who does not treat colleagues and employees well probably won’t do so with customers either.)
If you examine your provider in terms of humanity during the conversation and do not focus only on their offer, you will find a good partner whom you can trust. With trust comes more decision security. That will help you.

Buying a kitchen is like buying a car.. You can buy or leave out any extras.

We are getting a Häcker kitchen, all appliances are from Siemens, all except the refrigerator, from the studioline version. Our kitchen costs 21k.. but that doesn't help you, everyone has different sizes etc. For example, the boxed-in drywall is also included in the price for us.

I looked at all the appliances on the Siemens website, then searched for the preferred appliance online, read reviews/test results, and checked the prices. I noted the exact appliance number and communicated it to the kitchen dealer.

This way you can also plan the kitchen with or without appliances and maybe get a better feel for the prices.

But I still think it's extremely tedious to compare exactly.
