Is satellite television still relevant?

For now, your consideration might be correct. But you are committing yourself. You buy Sat once and then it runs for free (unless you absolutely want the private channels in HD).

If your Entertain provider raises prices, then you pay that. If they raise them again, then also. If the channel lineup is changed, your favorite channel might be removed. If the price for the internet goes up, then you need another provider who also offers TV in the scope you want – or you pay. If you sell your house, some will frown (yes, it can be retrofitted, but it costs more if there are no cables/conduits/roof connections).

Entertain requires special receivers. Every TV needs one. Rent or buy.

Yes, the dependency is correct. I am already dependent on district heating. I personally find the argument about resale nonsense. Just imagine. You find a house you like, unfortunately it doesn't have keys. (but it does have fiber optic with 200 MBit) I want to see the person who wouldn't buy because of that.

It is certainly exaggerated, but I wouldn’t call it nonsense. It may possibly be a negative attribute, and in the end, it’s all a matter of price.

The perfect used house doesn’t exist anyway. So you consider what would need to be changed. One person wants to move a wall, another needs new furniture because of sloping ceilings, then someone wants a pond in the garden (or none where there is one), maybe more network sockets,..... all of these are costs that are added to the house price, and somewhere there is a limit to what one wants or can do.

Certain things simply belong to a "standard" and are expected by the general public. I also count a Sat connection (or cable TV, if available) among these. Entertain is *still* quite special.

The comparison Sat vs Entertain is flawed. There are so many more options besides Entertain and they will continue to increase. Even Amazon apparently already offers Live TV, but hardly anyone cares anymore. People want to watch a specific series or a current movie, and at a time of their own choosing. What I find absolutely outdated is linear TV itself, and Sat stands exactly for that.

If I understand correctly, I am very inexperienced with this, this netflix is for example a video rental store via internet streaming, where you have a club card and you pay around xy euros to borrow something, that is, to stream, whereby you can probably also book packages from basic to all inclusive [Hinterzimmer]. But that is not television. That is very old, it is like driving off and borrowing three DVDs or before that videotapes. Television is 8:15 pm Bayern vs. Real, and you cannot borrow that, it comes when it comes and then you watch it or it's too late. Tomorrow the fish is cleaned. Television is also the Tagesschau and this afternoon the Stones in Havana, and that works great via Sat. K.
