Not negative, realistic. ;-)

The tax office saves the effort of reviewing your attachment just to determine that you don't have to pay any taxes.

Tax on profit only from 400 point something euros. So it doesn't happen anyway. And even if it does, I'd rather pay taxes on profit than make sure I don't make any profit in the first place.

So, I have declared taxable profit every year with a relatively small photovoltaic system (6.8kWp). I already see an advantage there. Many are deterred by the tax issue, so I also think it is good to remove that obstacle.

The profit determination of a photovoltaic system fits on the proverbial beer coaster. I don't think the tax office saves much on that. But okay.

But then the system is old.

With current system (prices) and remuneration rates, you really have to stretch yourself to exceed the exemption amount (after depreciation!). Anyone who adds a storage system won't get out of losses anyway. ;-)

And I had forgotten the power companies: their interest was always to prevent an energy transition. That’s why the 10 kWp limit was introduced through intensive CDU lobbying. It was good for nothing other than keeping private systems small. Then it was abolished because they realized it was unpopular to let the world go to the dogs – and half a year later a new limit was introduced. This time "in favor" of the system operator. Mission accomplished again. The fact that both limits were just perceived limits didn’t stop thousands from exceeding them.

Stop with the petty stuff. We absolutely need EVERY roof (and a few fields too) within the next 10 years! Ownership (of a large roof) also entails a certain responsibility. And if the privileged (those with large roofs) don’t do something, then who else will?!

The only problem is that these losses would reduce your income tax if you do not choose [Liebhaberei]. Your advice is like telling someone not to file an income tax return even though they would receive a refund.

Short info: I contacted the electrician again. He optimized his planning accordingly and now comes to 9.6 kWp for the south roof. Price per kWp is then 1468€ net > I have already accepted the offer!!

Now I still have the question whether to opt for the small business regulation or the regular taxation? With the latter I will certainly be cheaper, but the effort (at least initially) is higher. Basically, I tend to go for the more convenient option, but then I have to pay the purchase of the system (as well as possibly maintenance, repairs, etc.) including VAT. Superficially, that is correct, or have I misunderstood something?

Cheers
Christian

No, that's how it is. In almost all cases, standard taxation is ultimately cheaper. But with KUR there is less effort. With EÜR you also don't have to do it if it's under 10 kWp.
For a purely south-facing roof, you should make sure to limit to 70, i.e. install an energy meter that ensures that a maximum of 70% is fed in, but that you can at least still use any surplus yourself.

The peaks can then be used well for heating water at 1 p.m., so you practically have no losses due to the limitation.
