That is correct. But if nobody expands, that's just how it is. Of course, the network inside the house is unaffected by that.

The problem is not the socket type. Rather, it is that there are still electricians who, when ordering TAE for many living rooms, wire it as a socket system - in the worst case with four-core telephone cable.

Is this about the telephone sockets in living rooms, or the so-called 1st TAE socket for the house connection? This still contains the passive test termination, with which the network operator can measure the line.
