That's the first time I've heard that. And even if only rarely, I also really like to game sometimes. I've never had a game that failed the online service as long as the servers are accessible.

I can only go very superficially and vaguely into detail here, but yesterday someone who also works professionally in this field clearly advised against the Gigacube if I want to game. An "adjustment of the NAT type" is apparently not possible and there is no public IP address, so online gaming is not possible. Whether this was just a very general statement and possibly does not apply to all games/consoles/PCs, I cannot answer. A Google search for the problem "Gigacube" "online gaming" brings up many forum entries and help requests, but few solutions. Since the device is offered with a 30-day trial period, it might be worth a try. But I wouldn’t want to commit firmly yet that the Gigacube represents the solution to my internet problems. This also brought very sad faces yesterday at our home, since we do like to game for an hour in the evening.

Ok, then it seems to be a Gigacube-specific matter and not about LTE in general. Do you have the Gigacube? Or LTE?

Neither. Just regular DSL. Apparently I misunderstood. I took it generally, as if a fixed IP is generally required. But the technician's statement is also a bit strange. Every internet connection has a public IP. Only the address changes and is not static.

Maybe it's about the fact that it is a unique one and the Gigacube shared shares an IP with multiple users?

Oh no, the internet situation with you guys is really bad. I have to honestly admit that we nerds were careful enough to reserve / buy our property only after we had ensured that it is in a fiber optic area.
