Is a TAE socket still needed nowadays?

If you have FTTH concerns. But unfortunately many still have to struggle with xDSL still But even with fiber optic you don't need "doorbell wire" in the hallway anymore

Edit: You should only pay attention to the LAN cable and take at least CAT7.

Smirnoff, you presented your opinion as universally valid. And it is not. And just as a tip, we are here in a forum that primarily deals with house construction. And in many new housing developments, there is fiber optic cable. So your statement is doubly wrong.
Only a fiber optic cable comes out of the HAR wall, really!

That was exactly my statement, now you act as if you had always known it. What a weird nerd!

There are still enough new development areas without FTTH. Also, not everyone builds in a new development area.

Yeah, me for example. I can't get fiber optic and DSL with a maximum of 6 Mbit. According to the Telekom map, no expansion is planned. Now I had to read that cable is unreliable. I am sad.

Same here; new development area, no fiber optic, DSL maximum 6 Mbit, effectively 3.7 Mbit. Now, after the house connection was installed, even that is no longer bookable. The area was designated for "private sector expansion" in 2016. A third-party provider works here with vectoring but did not consider all cable branch points in its planning, and the effort apparently no longer pays off for individual houses coming later.

LTE is available via radio with 21.6 Mbit/s - on good days. Vodafone Gigacube would be a solution as an emergency option. But if you depend on a public IP (for example, required for online gaming), you won’t be happy here either.

Does anyone here have experience with the Congstar Homespot...? Otherwise, I'm switching to carrier pigeons and signal fires.

Hi, can you explain that? I’m hearing this for the first time and it could be relevant. What doesn’t fit with the Gigacube, or is it because of LTE?
