I had my laundry in the basement in my previous apartment and had to carry the wet laundry up 4 flights of stairs. It was annoying but also contributed to physical fitness. I didn’t find it bad.

In my current house, I planned a washing spot in the bathroom upstairs. When moving, out of laziness, I quickly pushed the washing machine into the utility room on the ground floor and connected it. That’s great too. I don’t think I will change it again. Somehow it only takes 15 seconds and 1 flight of stairs up or down. That’s really nothing and still keeps you a little fit. Even if not as good as the 4 flights from before.

I had a garbage chute in my student dorm (a high-rise, for those from Mainz here: at Reifen Rauch, well known :D). That was practical.
I find a laundry chute totally unnecessary. Actually really so. It takes away the part of the whole thing that is the least annoying, goes the fastest and is not exhausting at all.

Looks even good... Nevertheless, I would never integrate it into the shower (if there's another way) because:
[*]is the flap permanently sealed? (Magnet or how does it work? Is the black strip on top a seal?) [*]the shower also has to be sufficiently large, walk-in (ok, it's a matter of planning...) [*]sometimes clothes go into the laundry without standing in the shower or going directly into the shower afterward....
For : If there is no alternative for the shower position, the only options are to get a "waterproof flap" and seal the entire area inside the shower.... (like with MM1506zzzz)...

We are also planning a laundry chute into the new bathroom. The laundry ends up in the laundry room on the ground floor. From there, there is also a door to the covered clothesline. And when the laundry is done, the basket in the laundry room is placed in the elevator, which then comes out directly next to the dressing room on the upper floor. I also don’t want to have to carry the dirty dishes, cleaning, and ground floor towels upstairs separately. Or carry the really dirty work clothes through the house once. Everyone simply has different workflows that should be taken into account and the optimal solution should be built accordingly.

A clothes elevator! Yeah! Also an elegant way to burn money. :D

In our (!) case, no. Self-built; the elevator is also used for firewood and all sorts of things that need to be taken up to the attic (no basement available). You could even use it later as a replacement for a stairlift.
