Alternatively laundry chute light: dimension the stairwell opening large enough to directly throw laundry from the upper floor into the ground/basement floor :cool:

Unfortunately, in our case, this would only work one floor at a time ... :(

But by now I've got the "hang" of the laundry baskets. Since I have to go to the basement anyway every morning, where the laundry room is, my wife always puts the baskets/the basket with the dirty laundry in a clearly visible spot :cool:

The reverse way works similarly :)

And since this works so well, I now often get my beloved fish sticks as a reward :D Somehow my wife is clever ...

Because we have an extra room on the upper floor, there are no piles of laundry lying around until then.

Salomon here - if you have the space available and it works technically without contortions - great thing! I know it from my parents. If you waste valuable square meters for it and plan strange constructions like [Schacht in Dusche], then that’s rather not the hill you want to fight for.
