My grandma hung the laundry on a [Spinne] in the garden. Nowadays I don’t know anyone anymore. And yes, we have a 20m2 large laundry room, that’s enough to properly hang 2-3 loads of laundry. The rest goes in the dryer, so what.
Yes, I have the space. But even with smaller rooms, I wouldn't get the idea. The sun fades the colors of expensive clothes. Even more so if hung damp in the sun.
That is why laundry that can fade is also washed and hung inside out and/or the laundry area is covered and the laundry does not hang in direct sunlight.
Why should I hang laundry outside? Probably the clocks still tick differently in BB. I don't know anyone who does that. And I wouldn't have to walk either. ;)
I also think it's good ecologically, but I actually know few people who still dry outside (age, no desire, no time, no garden, tiny garden)
I don't know any older people around here who do that. And the weather here really hasn't allowed it yet. Whether you do it or not, throwing something in the shower is nonsense. You should think about your personal "laundry logistics" and plan accordingly.
