We have now obtained an offer from the BU and the knee wall is specified as 1m there. The question is what they would charge for increasing the knee wall to, for example, 1.50 m. With the BU you are stuck, they charge well for such things. Just raising the basement rooms by 10 cm from 2.20 to 2.30 m costs €1200, so I’m curious what the knee wall increase will cost.

A little tip: don’t increase in full round 10 or 20 cm increments, but to brick height, if possible. Sometimes a full brick is cheaper than a sawed half.

Yes. However, I would always go with the normal standard height of 2.50 m clear height.

We therefore now have a clear height to the top edge of the finished floor of 2.36m in the basement and that is completely sufficient for a living space underground.

At least as long as you don't have a living room in there .
