was that a hint? I can understand why the OP does not want to answer my questions, but I don't understand how anyone could come up with the idea of wanting to build almost three stories in execution and manage with the sum (let's say 320k€) just because the architect said so. Hence the question about the € per cbm!

Quick stupid question: UG is not the basement, right?

UG = Basement.

The basement level is the entrance floor here, which is exposed in the front roughly half. Wherever the two designs differ, I prefer the "red" design. However, even though exemptions can be requested, I would expect that planning is initially done with the specified roof pitches. If necessary, the client must then be told if that does not align with the wish list. I do not see the cross-gable (referred to here as a dormer) working like that in the children's rooms.

A basement for me is a floor that lies more underground and is therefore less valuable as living space because the quality of light and atmosphere is not the same as normal living rooms.

With a hillside property, one should distinguish between UG and KG and consider why one builds a basement or what makes living space.

Not only for me, the possibility to step out of the living space at ground level and thus into the air and nature, i.e., the garden, is the greatest motivation to build one’s own house at all, rather than giving the basement rooms the best location because one cannot get out of the standard expectation of a house with a basement.

One way or another, this walk-on basement is a hybrid, with a ground floor at the front and a cellar at the back. With all the possibilities that result from this. However, this ultimately does not affect the top floor, so I already see it as used in the best possible way - let's see what remains after the adjustment of the knee wall (as far as possible) and the roof pitch.
