Now my imagination is completely failing me

But I'm curious!

Bay window? How can you - and best of all that feeding wart, which the experts always love to tear apart

Thank you for the answers. Well, just 2 full stories will probably not work cost-wise. But as I understand here, [Drempel] is better higher than 1m. I have to check what an increase would cost. I'm thinking of a [Drempel] between 1.20 m and 1.30.

Attached are the screenshots - please excuse the graphical shortcomings - the brick color is of course not brown either - at least not that shade of brown.
It certainly won't win an architecture prize, but from the outside it actually looks surprisingly good so far.

Good evening,

The original poster is not too wrong with his assumption!

The shell construction is an expensive matter – building from 1.00 m knee wall to shell construction dimension 2.80 m requires a lot of material and labor hours.

I do not disagree with that. But compared to an additional square meter of living space through more floor area, isn't it still relatively cheap? In a 10 m long house where you raise the knee wall from 1 m to 2.8 m, that would be at least 10 sqm of living space. Are roof windows possibly more expensive than regular ones? (I don't know) - of course this is somewhat misleading, since even the space under a slope can be fully used and inhabited if, for example, a bed is placed underneath.

But the floor area remains the same! Surely cupboards & Co. can be better placed on higher walls – but is it worth the extra cost? Only the individual can answer this question for themselves; roof slopes also have their charm

A good double casement window starts at € 1,000.00, with no upper limit.

Rhenish regards
