Idea collection for floor plan

I think a shower only 140 to 150 cm long should generally be closable. And I prefer door solutions that open inward into the shower. I don't like it when the door drips in front of the shower or when splashes collect there.

I would agree with that. But I don't know of any truly watertight showers. Do they exist?

My bathroom has the following layout:


I have a two-part glass shower door from Schulte, which opens inward and, due to the shallow depth, folds inward there. It can be roughly seen here:

At the bottom on the floor, there is a very narrow and only about 5 mm high threshold installed, against which the door hits from the inside. That keeps it sealed.

Of course I will take it to the architect, but I am here to gather ideas and combine them with mine. As you can tell, I am very open to suggestions. I just want it to be nice... It’s a beautiful location, direct S-Bahn connection, not far from the lakes, quiet, yet still good shopping facilities. Only the perfect apartment is missing.
Right. My father is the builder and lives downstairs alone, but with space for visits from my mother... That’s why the garden is intended for me and my family. My father wants to live downstairs out of the desire for accessibility (for later) and I think that’s good.

However, I read this afternoon that you already have little children. In this respect, it occurred to me what many young mothers here or at least the parents with the necessary experience always say or ask: where do you want to put the stroller?
Maybe you should still bring up in a good hour that a larger shared entrance with space for the pram and shoes on the ground floor as well as a direct path to the basement is necessary. Your father, as a single person, could give up 4-5 sqm so that you upstairs are somewhat relieved. A central hallway would also structure the middle room more than the L-shape.

That's a good point... I will definitely include the windbreak. How is access to the basement supposed to be provided? An extra staircase within the lower apartment?
