I have to agree with Kisska... I have lived in many apartments so far and am currently living in one as well. There was always a hallway and a separate kitchen. As a single or couple apartment, it is of course good - but with children it would not be suitable for me.

But there is also an extra hallway in front of the children's rooms.

Like Yvonne, I am missing various environmental parameters and measurements. In any case, I find the hallway too small for 4 people. You could move the partition to the open space further down, up to the kitchen niche wall.

The open space looks quite square, which is often difficult to furnish when making concrete proposals.

It is a two-family house.
The upper apartment is allowed to use the garden with 700 sqm.
@ How can the hallway be changed?
How can the parents' sleeping area be better designed?
I have considered a storage room between the kitchen and the children's room.
Drawing is attached.
There you can also see a longer wardrobe in the bedroom, but that is too tight...

I cannot and do not want to plan a separate entrance for the children.
For pubescent teenagers, there is a bright room in the basement with its own bathroom, made bright by a slope.

It's not about having a separate entrance... it's simply about the fact that living with 4 people in the apartment can potentially get on each other's nerves. Whether it's because someone is unloading the dishwasher while someone else is watching TV or someone just has a visitor but another person is still in their pajamas and therefore isn't allowed to leave their room.

That’s why the small anteroom with its own bathroom. Openness is desired from the parents’ side.

How can children be given more private space?

I have attached the drawing with the storage room here.
