And, I would also suggest to your parents as a question whether they have clarified that of all places, a south-facing room with a large window is supposed to be good for the piano, so that overall a somewhat different layout might possibly result.

No, I will not do that. And I ask you not to be mad at me because of it. Not because it's against you, but because I don't want to get upset. All the important things have been included: [Windfang], completely covered enclosed area in the basement, storage space, larger hallway, kitchen on the north side.... bedroom remodeled to create more closet space... But I still have many questions. I will continue to ask them here and hope for help. It's really fun
