Money is a topic of its own.

On the internet, people are anonymous and like to share what they earn.
In real life, it's quite different.

There was a user who had a large installment to the bank in relation to his income. After that, everyone wrote, how do you manage with so little money..... 2 days later.... His answer: I went to my boss and asked for more money and I got 1,000 euros net more [emoji15]. Whether that's realistic is another matter. The fact is everyone has to see for themselves how they get by, and if afterwards there is no money left for a tricycle, then we can't change that either.

I just did the whole thing for fun for myself.
I am alone, house loan €200,000, installment €1085
In 2017, I earned on average €3240 (civil servant) and additionally on average €400 from a side job.
So the installment is roughly 33.5% of the net income.
Additionally €330 savings rate for the house and €400 savings rate for other things.
I live quite decently alone, but would still describe myself as thrifty and solid.
Major expenses are additional house costs about €400, diesel about €220 (85km one way), and that’s basically it. Special repayment this January €5k and again €5k towards the end of the year for a guilty conscience.

Don't worry about it... Poverty is no shame! I know it, I also come from the very bottom, had to drive BMWs for years and fly business class. OK, I admit it: It's slightly altered stolen from a conversation between Harald Schmidt and Sahra Wagenknecht a few years ago. Even the social democrat aunt had to laugh back then...
