The average is correct. There are supposedly people who put up a 700,000 house and then dress their child at kik.

What would be so wrong about that? Everyone sets their priorities differently. Of course, one should ask why they are so cheap, but that is another topic.

We also often go to the discount store and don’t buy everything at the E-Center.

By the way, for us it is 33% of the total net income, with me contributing 80% of that myself. And if I consider that we can provide almost everything for the children (music, gymnastics, vacation, ...) that fits quite well. Incidentally, kindergarten and daycare (2 and 4 years old) currently cost us 760€. You should really look at the costs beforehand, because it could well be that the woman only works to cover the childcare afterwards...

we pay 990 euros on a total net of 4100 euros. Both are in their late twenties, no children yet. Moving into the house will be in the next three to four months

Some banks use 40% of net income (excluding transfer payments like child benefits) as a guideline.

Some people find >30% a lot, while others somehow manage 50%.

I personally find max. 40% cold rent and 50% including additional construction costs acceptable as a maximum.

You apparently know your current situation very well (household budget) and would therefore use your current cold rent + savings for the house as a guideline for the annuity. Maybe stay a bit below that.

If children are planned in the next 2-5 years, build in a buffer equivalent to the loss of income (due to parental allowance) and regulate the possible additional payment now via special repayment rights (and then stick to it).

In my opinion, the percentage calculation is complete nonsense.
If I have a secure job that brings me €15,000 net per month, I can easily pay 66% to the bank and still live very well.
If I only have €3,000 available and 33% goes to the bank, I still have to carefully calculate what I can afford...

We do not spend quite 30% on the monthly repayment and earn a total of €3500. We took out €220,000 for our little house.

We do not have children yet, but we are also not 30 years old yet. We are taking our time with that and are very, very diligent with special repayments. ~€1000 monthly.
Career advancement is possible for both of us through public service, and we are still at the beginning of the scale. It suits us wonderfully, and we are happy about our house every day.

...actually feel quite good about it, planned reference summer this year.
Like to go on vacation often and gladly, that should continue to work. If children come, it will simply be reduced (not canceled )
