Giving up the second car opens up a much greater potential for savings (than with the mobile phone).

In summer, you might bike the 6km, but in winter? Maybe in a suit? Hm. Facing a similar "dilemma" when we move ... Cars make you so nicely independent and self-sufficient

Buy a moped. That’s the typical German way of thinking. Show me your car and I’ll show you who you are.

You can also walk 6km in a suit. I can jog 6 km in 30 minutes for you.

My route is now even shorter, but our diesel has been standing unused under the carport for 350 days a year... unfortunately, we also need crates of water now and then, so I drive the 2 km to the supermarket... it just doesn’t work without a car, we have a small child and I don’t feel like constantly adjusting the rear-facing seat when carsharing. The car is there, it doesn't eat grass, and the maintenance costs are significantly higher than our annual fuel costs.
