The 1,000 EUR were for gas and electricity... Not everyone has a basic supplier and not every basic supplier is equally cheap.
Now I’m really appalled. No basic supplier? Well, that’s something new in Germany, that there should be regions without the legally required basic supplier.
A terraced house, usually a mid-terraced house, can hardly be compared in terms of heating demand to a detached single-family house.
But detached single-family houses are not the norm either. And I still maintain that a 10-15 year old house should not consume 16,000 kWh of gas if it is normally built (there were already quite strict energy saving regulation requirements with the 2007 version) and heated normally.
Single-family house with 170 sqm built in 1995 in northern Germany, gas boiler about 3 years old: 18,000 kWh
@xMisterx Nice example: The house is 27 years old and not 10, heated intensively, and has the consumption you estimated before for a much better insulated newer house.
