But it's pretty heavy - I just checked what the cables cost in their shop - 185 euros/100m. I laid over 600m of LAN and paid just under 300 euros for it - the cable stuff alone is really expensive.

300€ for the additional coax cables and sockets is too much but Homeway fits the budget?

Lay them out for yourself. Two in the living room, one for each bedroom. Put the multiswitch in the utility room near the network installation. If the need arises, you can easily connect a Sat>IP server to the multiswitch and distribute it over the network.
I wouldn’t go exclusively for Sat>IP yet. We also thought about it, but the receivers are more expensive than Sat receivers (or are already integrated in the TV = everything with one remote and no extra costs). Only a few TVs have Sat>IP tuners integrated and the technology is apparently still not quite mature (just google it, there is a large community on these topics that strongly advises against it).

Last but not least: What would a potential buyer of the property say if there is no "normal" TV connection? Never say never. I wouldn’t mess with such standard equipment. Hence also the double socket in the living room. At the latest when someone wants to connect a Sky receiver in parallel, the fun is over before it has even begun.

There are already CAT7A cables? Not that it would be necessary, but everywhere I read, always use only the newest and best cables...

I would like to add a few general points, surely also interesting for Evolith. For example, she had asked whether coax is necessary at all. As far as I have researched, Sky is not possible via SAT-over-IP, for instance?

Regarding the multiswitch: Would you generally work with a multiswitch or only if there are more than 4 receivers? However, the SAT-over-IP server is its own receiver, right? Then, for example, coax in the living room, bedroom, and 2 children’s rooms plus to the server = 5 = multiswitch would be necessary anyway!?

Yep, multiswitch and then star-shaped further distribution. You can also use one that is cascaded. Then you can connect the optional SatIP server via a cascade connection on the multiswitch and thus save the quadruple cabling to the SatIP server

So, I would assume that normally 2 cables go to the living room. I usually end up with 5. Not every receiver supports Unicable.
