People, please stay serious... I am completely occupied with my professional life, so I actually do not want any issues in my private life.

Let's stay grounded! I would say: your entire personal life is a construction site, so you escape into work. If what you have written so far is really true (mother asks where you are at 10 PM; dad wants an overview of your finances) Personally, too many words like guilt and gratitude come to mind... man, man... I really feel sorry for you. You can't help your parents, but as an adult, you have to let go of your inner child, recognize it, and differentiate it. You are an adult, and your parents should meet you on equal terms.

I have always gotten along very well with my parents. However, I have always been well-behaved and obedient. I am simply worried that the good relationship will suffer if I start making demands now. I have never made any demands before...

How old are you? Already an adult? You still can't talk to your parents like other adults? Boy, detach yourself and live your own life. Then things will work out with the neighbor too.

Honestly: with what you’re writing here, as an actual single woman I’d be gone faster than you can blink, even if you looked like Nick Bateman and had Brad Pitt’s bank account.
