Currently, there is a funding program from the city administration for the redesign of the rock garden.

how long the respective builders discussed before ultimately ending up with white/anthracite is of course beyond my knowledge. However, I try (more or less successfully) to stick to "KIS" (Keep it Simple). For me, that also means not thinking too long about things that work for many/almost everyone else but just doing them that way. Often, the development plan also specifies a color (e.g., the roof tiles in our case). Had they had to be red, the choice of color for the facade and windows/doors/raffstores would probably have been different. But as I already mentioned, I am never a standard in this regard due to a lack of (color) feeling. Today, for example, I was at the stonemason to select window sills (inside). 10 minutes later, we were already on the way back. I like to make such decisions quickly when I hear other good suggestions (the stonemason's suggestion was acceptable).

I think exactly the opposite: a standardized gable roof house looks more contemporary in plaster than the brick-clad settlement house. Plastered city villas are the cheap variant of the proper old-school city villa – a fresh color or bricks give the house much more value.
But what’s it about? Most forum members or builders who have to watch their money go for white plaster with anthracite-colored windows because it’s cheaper than colored bricks with white windows. White/white is also modest, a bit of accent is also desired by those who build cheaply. And as long as the development plan cooperates, the cheap package from the general contractor is taken.

The substitution villa is generally the cheap version of the town villa ;-) and the latter traditionally had plaster (and stucco), as well as a risalit instead of a cross-gable.

Whoever really wanted that would just have to practice (completely without additional cost!) the motto "golden ratio instead of symmetry" ;-)

A foil wrapping in maize yellow, lilac or burgundy would not be more expensive than anthracite. On average, a window fitter has seven similarly low additional cost alternatives to the "standard" floor dwelling carrier white in the program: usually distributed as "five shades and two wood decors". No one has to choose anthracite for lack of belonging to the financial nobility.

Unfortunately, yes it is – at least with some window suppliers. Anthracite is popular, so it can be produced cheaply in large quantities and is (by now) priced accordingly, even though the effort is exactly the same as with sky blue wrap. With maize yellow, the wrap is probably already brittle straight from storage due to the long keeping before the rare processing. The warehouse manager even gets extra paid for having to dig it out from the top back shelf. True story. :)

We enjoy the process of greying, the natural imperfection in the well-planned. It is, of course, not completely uniform. I still find the hair comparison great. I see it the same way. Even in the inexpensive plaster variant, accents can be set, for example through color-contrasted frames. I also find shutters visually very attractive - whether conventional with a rotary mechanism or as a sliding element. The latter can be built quite cheaply yourself - the manufacturers' prices seem quite high to me.
