Oh dear, that sounds a bit adventurous.

In our contract with the general contractor, we had that we could have plaster samples made.
These were then sent to us directly by the paint manufacturer.
Therefore, I assume that other paint manufacturers might handle it the same way.
In that regard, I would get some information.

If in doubt, better invest a few euros in a slightly larger test panel than to end up with an unwanted facade color.

I didn't dare to suggest that – but that's exactly how I would always do it. We applied the three favored plasters onto drywall and then placed them by the house – on all sides! – to see how the color and texture appear under different lighting – but we are a bit picky about that. :)

Absolutely understandable. I wouldn’t call that picky either. Given the price for a complete facade plastering, the risk—especially in relation to the cost of prevention—that I would be dissatisfied with the result is too significant for me. Maybe I’m not the standard, though, since I also have a full-surface reinforcement plastering with fiberglass mesh insert applied to prevent cracks.

One of the plasters looked wet and "sprinkled" in a snotty green on the north side. When dry, it was a cool, very bright, almost white sandy tone. We were like:  - after that, no one laughed at me anymore for the effort.

I also think that one shouldn't approach this in a casual manner. It should be considered that plaster on the house usually appears more intense in color than it does on a color card or small area. Therefore, one can still choose a strong color, but this should be kept in mind. Perhaps one also sees "their" color somewhere and addresses the painter or even the homeowner directly about it.

The attentive reader knows that I am also in such a situation, albeit under slightly different circumstances. It is somewhat a shame that the majority choose 'trash can' gray - anthracite - with white/light. However, that would (unfortunately) certainly be our direction as well, although I would rather go for RAL 9006 or RAL 9007. Color accents (front door) in a dark red.
