Hi,

We are not building the house around furniture that we don’t have or don’t want to have. What we have fits, or in the case of the bed, we have the situation that it is quite wide with a frame, but it will be replaced in the next few years.

If the users, including myself, are not supposed to point out errors in the draft, then please say so: we can save a lot of time that we could use for other discussions. If you don't want to hear any suggestions for improvements here, then please say so. At least those currently involved will then be aware. Regarding the heating topic, we do have another subforum, I believe the air-water heat pump is your biggest concern?

The bedroom would also be clearly too small for me. 4m width would be the minimum and then correspondingly deep enough to have a one-meter passage width between bed and wardrobe. That would then be at least 3.6m, so about 15sqm.

The bathroom is okay in terms of size, however, I am not a fan of a washing machine in the bathroom. But that's a matter of taste. In the living room, I would actually consider where to put what. It's not about the exact furniture, but sunlight on the TV is annoying, just like if the possibly fireplace takes up half a wall and then there is no room left for a wardrobe or TV.

I need relatively a lot of storage space, so I always make sure that everything can be stored sensibly. If you don't need much, that's great. But better to have thought of everything beforehand than to have to store the crates of drinks in the garage later.

For a new building with hardly any restrictions and such a simple room program, I don't think it's good. But well, it's your place.

The homepage of Panbo says:
Every room layout and every floor plan can be adapted to your personal needs.

Furthermore, according to the information, the houses are only suggestions – the timber frame construction or the construction with log beams offers freedoms that should also be used. The house proposals all don't seem to be really practical.
So I would only choose the shell and fine-tune the interior for my needs – a window in a shower probably doesn't belong to that. ;)

The windows are too small for my taste again, but that's a matter of preference.

For a residence for the elderly, I would definitely pay attention to disability-friendly equipment. So the bedroom should be large enough to possibly move around the bed easily with a walker, and then the bedroom is too small. The same applies to the bathroom. And a window in the shower? Well, a man’s will is his kingdom, and I also have a bit of the impression of pronounced resistance to advice here, so I’ll save myself further words.

One thing I just can’t resist: You always push aside suggestions or objections regarding furnishing with the remark that you will take care of that after moving in and that it is not relevant now. If you consider yourself so superior and clever, then go ahead and do it that way. Personally, I think it is more than wise to think beforehand about where you want to have what, where something makes sense. Then one can plan connections accordingly, etc. It’s very annoying if suddenly you want to put the TV somewhere in the evening where the connection unfortunately is NOT. The same applies to the kitchen equipment. But I guess I’m just too stuffy and old-fashioned. I’ll have to live with that (so far it’s going quite well).
