Hi,

upgrade from today:
Yesterday the site plan etc. arrived. The documents will go to Denmark at the beginning of next week so that they can also take a look at our ideas there.
The floor plan has been refined a bit, the site plan no longer has anything in common with my scribbles.
One more note on the site plan: we are not yet sure how we will heat. The heat demand calculation etc. still needs to be done. In any case, we are leaning more towards an air-to-water heat pump than towards a condensing boiler plus solar thermal system. The red star would be a possible installation location for the air-to-water heat pump in our view.

hm, hm .... Oh, I'll just list them:

[*]Bedroom facing southwest .. why not northeast? That's the more pleasant room to sleep in
[*]Bedroom mattress width max. 140 cm or barely any walkway space next to the bed
    [*]Shower with window???
[*]Open living-dining-kitchen area and 2 tables 200 cm apart ... I've never seen that before ;) In general, there are many tables in the house, study with visitor table .. clients?

[*]I consider the utility room with 165 cm room depth to be planned too tight. Should a washing machine, vacuum cleaner, mop, etc. also fit in there or should all that go into the storage room?
[*]TV in the living room is not an option - right?
[*]cooktop directly next to the tall cabinet should not be chosen voluntarily

Hello,

It's a certain compromise, but it will be okay.

We will arrange it suitably.

No more unusual than many other things here ;-) If water should be a problem for the window, we could design it as a passage. The window is also not floor-to-ceiling ;-), it has a sill height of 1.38 m (but that's hard to see).

To be honest, I don't care what is drawn there. We will see how the current furniture fits. Don't forget, we don't have much in the way of furniture in the current interim apartment. I won't plan every millimeter in advance. It has to and will work out, we have plenty of experience with that.

The technology in the utility room is not yet finalized, so we want to keep it as free as possible. The washing machine will go into the shower; whether there will be a dryer is not yet clear. Our robot vacuum will be parked somewhere where it's quickly ready to use.

Yes, but as I said, I don't care about the furniture layout yet.

It's not directly next to it; there are first 60 cm of countertop and then a freestanding fridge.

Before this is misunderstood: we know our furniture, and what the planner draws is his problem and not our obligation ;-) It is clear that connections for kitchen appliances and plumbing must be known before the floor slab is planned. The rest, as I said, will work itself out.

Is this a new building? Why so many avoidable compromises?

Hello,

No, we have an old building from 1983, an extension (almost as large as the old building), and now the "2.5th" house.

However, it would make sense to plan a new house now, taking existing furniture etc. into account so that it fits. For example, I would like to see the bedroom.

If I understand correctly, this is basically the start for the (middle) retirement home.

I would never build a house without also planning with my intended furniture and certainly not make avoidable compromises. I didn’t do that with my 66 sqm rental apartment either ;)
