That is super super kind and helpful! Many heartfelt thanks for the effort!
Just again for me as a layman: What argues against making the west terrace at ground floor level and not digging the house so deep? The slope to be bridged to the street or are there other reasons as well? Regardless, thank you for the vivid elaboration!

Basically, there is nothing against it; I personally like it better if there is a possibility at the back to go directly into the garden. This is definitely nicer for the children's rooms, and the upper surface of the property is used more. The middle floor is bright enough that it doesn’t bother me that the building is deeper in the terrain. One could even make a trench behind the house so that the children go into the garden with small bridges; then even a light well down to the lower floor would be possible.

Hm, it really looks good! And for the children that would of course be great. I see three disadvantages with this variant, however: 1) You practically take away the slope yourself (advantage for access, disadvantage for the view) 2) Excavation will probably be significantly more expensive because a lot and especially on the mountain side very deep digging into the slope is necessary 3) Less light incidence in the middle and lower floors With the original variant, you could possibly even reuse the excavated earth for terracing the lower floor towards the valley?

1. The ground floor and upper floor are still 6 and 9 meters high. The basement with the terrace is not very visible and more private. The terrace on the south side is also not very visible. In your design, I think you are much more exposed. 2. That is about 800 m³ of excavation. I measured once. A small part, about 1/6, might be usable. 3. The basement will be darker, but if the ancillary rooms are placed at the back and 2-3 light wells are installed, that would not bother me. On the ground floor, one has to see how the floor plan will be. Three sides have light.

Here everything is a bit better elaborated. The floor plans are oriented to the north. The fitness room has been left out, but it also fits into the guest room. The facade has the maximum window area for my taste. If I knew the surroundings, I could surely distribute it better. We would have liked the balcony on the upper floor to be much larger, but it should be enough for a few chairs or an outdoor shower. If the children's rooms become smaller and the staircase is shifted, the parents' area can become even more luxurious.
