I don’t have him in, no. Didn’t want to have discussions about storage space. But I can tell you what is different for us (but I think it simply has to do with personal taste):

- We definitely didn’t want the stairs in the living room, I don’t want my children’s friends to have to pass by me when I’m lounging on the sofa in my pajamas someday
- We preferred a large bathroom rather than a children’s bathroom and a parents’ bathroom (especially since we also have a small shower in the guest WC downstairs), the house just doesn’t allow for that due to its size
- Our utility room is almost 13 sqm, simply because the pantry only fits under the stairs – somewhere the water crates, yellow bags, and the like have to go
- We put the children’s rooms facing south, they will need more light in their rooms than we do

What heating technology do you have installed?

About 2.70m (although we could also go up to 3m there ) But it really depends on the space – especially since we really only sit there once a day for about 15 minutes And even with guests, the area is used very rarely.

I’m glad that you came here.

He finds the most beautiful thanks when you write it correctly :-(

Where did you ask?
Even in OF, HG (or where was it exactly) there are not only star architects or those with at least such fees.

Oh no! I am very sorry - but hey, always look on the bright side, that was ALMOST right

In the Rhine-Main area. Either no one answered or there was no demand. We are still at the beginning of calling. Here there is (thank God) a lot of choice. We had just googled a bit and looked at websites and set preferences. But I think we should lower our expectations a bit

At the beginning of our planning, I also definitely wanted to have the washing machine and dryer upstairs, but then I quickly realized that the balcony we don’t have at all ruins the whole thing. For drying, I would have to bring the stuff back downstairs anyway (terrace). I wonder if that is really practical for you since you also have to get out of the bathroom again and over your bedroom to the balcony... Hmm. Maybe better a balcony for the kids and the washing machine downstairs? But then the utility room would have to be bigger again.

I would really think carefully about the stairs, but if you say you prefer it that way, then that’s how it is for you. Personally, I probably don’t want to know everything... And I was glad that my parents didn’t find out everything.

Do you really need three showers for four people? Otherwise, you could maybe still shift a bit on the ground floor if you leave out the shower there and make a small pantry?

By the way, due to the lighting issue you mentioned, we planned a carport instead of a garage; at the back there is supposed to be a larger garden shed or storage room.

Is the utility room supposed to be accessed only through the garage? Or is that a “hidden” passage in the kitchen? Otherwise, you could also consider creating a one-meter-wide room between the utility room and kitchen, which would be justifiable through the kitchen?

Assembling such a large animal backwards is certainly an unusual achievement. I'll take a look at our email correspondence later, it is stated there in more detail. In Ffm I have a school friend who is an architect.
