We are motorcyclists, so we often come home wet. From my point of view, it would be better if I could go straight into the utility room and leave the wet things there.
But you do have a hallway to come in, take off your clothes, etc. ... think about what you really need the utility room for and what is all stored there.
Take a look at the pinned posts in this subforum, there is a list of what is stored in a utility room besides the technical equipment.
The main point besides storage in the utility room is to get laundry clean. And you want to make a dirty area out of it.
I actually don’t have to put laundry to dry there, it either goes outside or in the dryer.
There are things that are not allowed in the dryer, such as wool items, sportswear ... for those you ideally have a small rack... but indeed everyone has their own ideas and uses, you are right about that. I would just give the tip to weigh whether, for example, a room that doesn’t really have a prominent position (guest room) should be arranged centrally in the house. I would make the utility room more accessible as a storage and household area. Laundry can also be taken out the front door or terrace door. The house is not that big. You are currently planning the daily routine starting from the entrance, and the private zone (guest <-> guest WC, bedroom <-> bathroom) always past the front door or in the area of the front door.
The bedroom should actually stay in that position,
I also see that in a good location.
Ultimately you have to know for yourselves how you build. A 100 sqm bungalow for two is not rocket science, moreover the plot is suitable for a nice house with a pitched roof. Even the slim shape is very suitable.
Everyone should be able to live out their own needs in their apartment or house, but first of all, the protection of private space, combining daily life and hobby under one roof still applies, and I see that if you build around the outside door in a rather small utility room, this is hardly the case here.
You asked!
