The volume is predetermined for us. To the north (top) there is a residential house, and to the south as well. To the east we have a clear view of a field and the forest. Since it is our property, it will remain that way. We wanted a gable entrance because we did not want to "divide" the rather limited living space on the ground floor. And then there aren’t many options left :) Since we cannot change the position and orientation of the house, I just want to discuss the floor plan here.

Given the requirements, I don't think it's bad. I might look into how to get some light into the hallway on the upper floor, for example through transom windows above the doors. And I would actually forego a closed dressing room and rather work with room dividers. Who wants to stay in a windowless, narrow room?

Yes, I wanted a skylight over the gallery as well as in the bedroom, but my husband sees photovoltaic area shrinking and is not yet completely convinced :p
You are probably right about the dressing room, but for us it is actually really just an enlarged closet because we won't have much storage space for seasonal clothes etc.

I find the ground floor of the first one (without fireplace) really awful.: No cozy living space, dining table cramped, furniture in front of the patio doors overall… the highlight is the view of the wardrobe from the sofa and to the WC, where every guest can be seen tidying up their clothes after using the toilet. You can’t really let off some steam there either ;) Take the version with the fireplace - whether with fireplace or not.

Friends of ours solved it by building a wall only 1.70 meters high; they then placed the bed against this room divider. This allowed light into the dressing area, and you can still get dressed without disturbing the other person.

I had roughly recreated it and found the version with the sofa in the middle to be "tidier" or calmer when entering the living area. I actually hadn’t considered the WC yet :D
