Can't the barn be kept? I think it's fantastic. I would buy and renovate it immediately. :) At least I would think it's great if you reused the stones. Unfortunately, such treasures are becoming increasingly rare. Yet they can usually be renovated well and in a modern way.

Unfortunately not, that was our first approach. But the price per living square meter would increase significantly with renovation. It was really an old stable, there were horses in it. The floors and ceilings would all have to be redone, and the roof beams are rotten because it rained through for a long time. The stones are also just dyed, it's a bit more show than substance :)

You surely mean the insulation. So the allowed dimensions are W = 7.64 m + 2 * 0.25 m = 8.14 m; L = 10.05 m + 2 * 0.25 m = 10.55 m

Or did I interpret something that was not meant?

Where is the carport located?

I assume the yellow is your building envelope? You can move freely within that? Or would it also be possible to go to the right side? What about the utility lines? Can you extend them from the parents? Can you also rotate the little house or is the ridge direction fixed? What kind of building is that standing on your land? Looks like it belongs to the neighbor? Does the plot have a bend there? How tall is it?

Here is the layout on the property. Somehow swap the WC and the entrance?
