If we have added this correctly, it is about 66cm roof construction. Since our preferred manufacturer (Nordic Haus) can only work with added roof insulation for the log walls, and not also go into the between-rafter insulation, a reduction is unfortunately not an option there.
If a provider can only handle their own system under the condition of accepting the Earth as flat, then the system is poorly designed and I would have "no further questions, Your Honor." The other log house folks are more adept, and that provider would be out with me. Or I would have another carpentry company build the roof, wood is wood, whether it is processed by Meier or Müller. Some providers have weaknesses, then you sometimes have to combine. Wait until the person addressed responds (or ask yourself e.g. at Stommel). By the way, who did build with?
Currently we have no dormers in the plan, as we are still not at all certain how...
Overall, I have the impression that you lack the willingness to relaunch. But there is simply base material that cannot be sufficiently repaired with patching. However, I am uncertain as to how much of this lack of flexibility lies with you or with the provider and their system. Many log house builders do not convincingly manage the transition from the hunting cabin to current energy-efficient house standards; here, the timber solid house builders who are willing to forgo the charm of the plank sauna are generally significantly further along.
