We will measure it accurately and then see. We don’t have as many shoes and jackets either. Currently, we manage with much less space...

Regarding the utility room: I can absolutely understand wanting a door here as a side entrance. But take the notes about the space seriously: technology consumes quite a bit! For this reason, we moved our side entrance into the kitchen right next door—two meters more walking, but still better than across the house. And a walk-through utility room provides significantly less storage space! Cloakroom: Do all your guests really come through the utility room and hang their jackets there? Or do you really never use the main entrance? Because an open cloakroom is not only untidy but also takes up space!

Would it be better to move the connections for the washing machine and dryer into the dressing/ironing room? To use the storage room under the stairs with shelves for shoes? To relieve the utility room?

of course, visitors enter through the main entrance. For temporary use, we imagine a couple of simple wall hooks.

But of course, we are open to other suggestions. Entering through the kitchen might be difficult for us to implement.

I would swap the bedroom and dressing room. Even if you say you get up at the same time. That can change. It's enough if one person is sick and wants to rest. Also, you walk in and out of the dressing room more often than the bedroom, so it would be more practical for the walking routes. I would consider putting the washing machine in the dressing room. It eases the space situation downstairs and you can do laundry where it accumulates. If you also iron there, even more practical. I don't accept arguments about noise or fear of water damage. Is the shower about 90x90? Then it probably won't work without a door. You should have at least 120cm of wall. I would rotate the bathtub as it is indicated with dashed lines so that there is more space in front of the sink. Possibly a double washbasin if 4 people use the bathroom. Should there be a table in the kitchen as shown? I would fully open it and not just have a passage if you don't want a door anyway. Have you already planned a kitchen? I don't find the room easy to furnish. Definitely think about it now! I don't like the slanted wall towards the living room. And that you plan the sofa with its back to the window. I find it nicer if you can look outside from the sofa. I would either place the sofa so that the TV hangs on the bottom wall. Then you would probably have to move the door.

Swapping the rooms would be an idea. However, then the toilet flush would be right next to the bed… Is that too loud? Putting the washing machine in the dressing room is also an idea, I already mentioned it above.

The kitchen is planned. A door will be installed, but a sliding door. We are considering having a counter there with integrated storage. We eat anyway in the dining room, but for a quick coffee or in the morning before kindergarten or school, there will be space for the kids with 2 bar stools.

The shower is 90 x 130 and the bathtub will be placed as dashed under the windows, so that 2 washbasins will fit.

Would you like to share your kitchen planning with us? At the moment, I just find it hard to imagine how to set up this kitchen.
