Yes, that's exactly what was meant. If the office = guest room, it just has to be tidied up when guests come. I think that's what the OP means.
The design looks interesting, thank you very much. The following points come to mind regarding the design:I think a study doesn’t have to be tidied up, at least we don’t really do that (that’s where the work happens ) but I worked on a new version. Exterior dimensions are 8.01m x 10.65m, no idea if that fits the building envelope. Can gladly provide more info on the individual room dimensions. Unfortunately, the program can’t measure itself. Walls outside 40cm, inside 20cm, stairs 200x220cm
Ground floor: sightline no longer so strongly towards the kitchen (or still too “open”?). Second entrance if desired, e.g. for the laundry line, alternatively space for a cupboard.
Upper floor: separate guest room, but bedroom somewhat smaller and children’s room too
[*]The building envelope should not be a problem; the narrowest point should be max 13m.
[*]The utility room in the southeast seems unfavorable to me due to the long connection routes and thus higher cost factor? (Access from the north).
[*]The kitchen can be a bit more closed off. We had also considered reducing the access between the living/dining room and kitchen. That way, a sliding door could possibly be installed to separate them. There is probably not enough space for a small partition wall?
[*]When entering the open-plan area, unfortunately, the view immediately falls on the kitchen.
[*]In the living room, the west sun seems to shine on the TV in the evening. So, you always have to shade?
What would it be like if you swapped the sofa corner with the kitchen? What are your experiences here, also with regard to shading?
