Good point.. definitely disadvantageous due to the current arrangement.

I would just find it really a pity to reduce the already not huge garden with 45sqm of paving stones. But you can try it out..

Where would you put the entrance then? If it should stay as it is now and the floor plan is only mirrored, you would have to go through the garden once to get into the house. Reason: the building window is currently fully used with 10m width and the garage would also have to be directly on the north-east side of the house.

Do you seriously want to "set up" the windows like rigid tin soldiers? - Symmetry as "aesthetics for proportion dyslexics" is all well and good, but a substitute villa in itself is already far enough from the peak of beauty, you don't also have to regiment the facades as if they had a stick up their a....

I read a lot of "criticism" and recognize little "constructive" in your post.

Let’s argue about taste:
Well, I also find a 12x18m country house with a gable roof on a hectare of field more beautiful. "Unfortunately" or rather "consciously," we build in a big city where plots cost beyond €600 per sqm and you accordingly fight for every cubic meter of house space in the garden spot. Besides, I find the blocks very beautiful despite being mainstream. That’s about the city villa.

Regarding the windows:
I think symmetry is great, proportions too. I’m open to discussion, how would you solve it?

You have to plan anew anyway:
Garage in northeast edge development, open south and west side
Which model house serves as the template?

What are the exact dimensions of the building plot? The house would no longer be rectangular. But a slightly elongated shape usually improves floor plans (unless we're talking about 300m2 villas). A hip roof instead of a pyramid roof is a bit more complex, but maybe a gable roof would also be an option? There are also modern and nice ones ;-) .

I have already read some essential suggestions for changes, so it did not seem sensible to me to go into detail on this draft.

I always develop window positions "from the inside" and then only adjust them according to their impact on the facade, i.e. I only do fine-tuning if adjacent windows "clash" or the mess of formats, sill heights, etc., gets too chaotic. So never symmetry as a design goal, but only avoidance of dissonance and otherwise an "organic" approach.
