Good point - we'll take that into consideration again ... But regardless, we both get dressed in the bathroom ;) ...

They also do custom builds ... and I'm not really happy with the design either :( ... that's why I'm here ;)
but I really didn't find the positioning of the house that bad ... :-/
the general contractor's name is Marco Friedrich from Stendal ...

I have to say: it’s not mine. The question is: what don’t you like? Personally, I might skip the dormer and make a saddle roof if I can still create usable space and a sports/office/guest room upstairs. Then the ground floor would be smaller and cheaper, which in turn balances out the costs if the double garage is not made too big either. Possibly a small one plus a carport added.

Do you like the access around the house or does it bother you? Is the living room positioned okay for you in the middle, or would you prefer it to be on the west side? Would you rather have the kitchen at the front, or is it well placed where it is? Are you planning a children’s room and a guest room? Could the guest room be somewhat detached from the other bedrooms? What do you think?

then it might make sense to place the dressing room next to the bathroom instead of carrying the clothes through the narrow bedroom?

oh and one more note - you are planning at least one child - most people nowadays have the baby in the bedroom for the first year. This greatly reduces the risk of sudden infant death syndrome and makes nighttime feeding and changing easier. But it requires a bit more space than currently planned. And usually the bed also becomes wider when children live in the house. 180 cm for three is torture. ;)

Honestly?! I don’t really like the floor plan ... actually not at all :( ...

There will be 1 kid’s room for our future offspring and 1 kid’s room for the older child ;) ... at least that’s the plan ... but since twins can’t be ruled out in the family, both kids’ rooms should stay on the south side ...

I wanted the kitchen on the plot where the utility room is now ...

I would like to present my original plan for the room layout here sometime, but it doesn’t include interior walls, windows, or doors ...
