after things flew apart at home and in the meantime various changes have been made by the architectural firm, there is a new draft since this afternoon that really appeals to both of us ...

A straight recess has advantages and serves as a canopy as well as a weather-protected platform. Or do you want corrugated iron on the side and on top?

honestly, I don't want anything there at the moment :-/ ... whether that is effective in the long run is another matter ...
