The bathroom basically came about from the floor plan, since we didn't want to give up either a large shower or a large tub
The dimensions of the bathtub are probably standard size, right? At least the wall between the windows is 1.75m, which doesn’t leave much room for a "large" tub. Bathing together is cozy, but not necessarily comfortable. Were the two windows framing the tub chosen intentionally or rather because they nicely match the symmetry of the ground floor windows? The floor-to-ceiling windows around the tub offer nice views for your neighbors—regardless of whether you’re sitting on the toilet or getting into the tub. I would change that. There are nice options using "arrow slit" windows (i.e., long, narrow windows with a high sill) above the bathtub. We did it that way too and love that solution. The symmetrical view from outside is no use if you have to rotate inside because of it. Without a basement, storage space is naturally limited. The utility room will probably fill up quickly. Maybe choose a different staircase design to gain a bit more storage space (or check whether you can extend the utility room under the stairs).
The living and dining area is then located in the northwest or west, right? Just an open question to the group: Could it possibly become too dark, or is this unnecessary due to the many and large window areas?

We have the same - exactly like that, only with a slightly larger tub. At first, we covered the lower window parts with film, but that’s gone now because the hedge is high enough. :) Unfortunately, we just don’t know how it is in this particular case.
