Where I just saw that with your bathtub: you can't install a light switch there because it is not 60 away from the bathtub. So, light switch from the outside. We are having the same problem right now.

Is that a problem? Aren't light switches in bathrooms almost always outside? I'm glad there are no issues regarding windows, sills, etc...

Horrible when they are outside - outdated, it’s not possible. For him, it’s about the installation zones, but I would gladly do without them – as long as the thing is not right by the bathtub or in the shower.

By the way, we also have the utility room as a passage from the garage to the hallway/kitchen (via a secret passage) – we got criticism back then about what one even wants with a utility room when one has a basement, but we wanted it that way – and we like it live even more now than on the plan.

: We're still considering that too - we would just build a fixed shower wall between the switch and the shower and would prefer to have the switch inside the bathroom rather than outside. Our electrician would probably do it - do you now also think that the risk is manageable?

I cannot grant you absolution, but I think that is exaggerated - the situation does not exist with us either. However, it is not deliberately "replanned".

That’s not much then :-(

I tell you

and you add to that

In other words again, you are building yourself a workstation in a hallway. Actually, it is the utility room where laundry is supposed to be washed, but with your outside door you have made a second hallway with storage space out of the utility room. You are creating a traffic route through the door, which you find brilliant, but because of that, washing laundry as it normally occurs is not possible. At least not in this area between garage/utility room door and hallway/utility room door.

But you don’t wash laundry in the bathroom. This is a process that takes several hours. Even if you don’t stand next to it, laundry is sorted accordingly etc... I’ll spare myself repeating about laundry (it’s somehow too stupid here apparently to explain housekeeping to naive minds).

Then I say
and you answer

But a garden is not household management.
Ok, afterwards you add
...which surprises me, because laundry somehow has to be washed by you, food probably has to be cooked, and cleaning will happen as well – after all you have a child, and as a salaried employee (controller) I assume you have a normal family life that keeps life reasonably organized.

I don’t have to make suggestions either. We all can give you clues about what works and what doesn’t.

Then take the advice from those who already have experience!

No... ever heard of mold?

And now something on my own behalf:

To me you are someone who only cares about their own questions. If you had looked left or right in the forum, engaged with the common problems of others here, then you could also/especially YOU have taken something from it and probably would already be at the building permit stage now.

It’s quite exhausting to discuss with someone who does not address the problem they are pointed to. Advice is ignored or overlooked, if not even contradicted. That someone is you. And later you admit at some point that you have no idea about it.

That didn’t work over there in the forum, and here the answers are also decreasing.
However, the threads here are not closed - but I’m now also withdrawing from this dilemma.

Regards
