Hello,
I have a question regarding the execution plans! We are building together with a planning office and we approved, signed, and submitted the building application together with the architect of the office! We then received the building permit! So far, everything normal!
Now, during the measurement of the basement floor, we noticed that the children's rooms, which were actually planned to be the same size (according to the building application each 17 sqm), are different sizes (one children's room 20 sqm, the other 15 sqm)! Our construction manager couldn’t explain this at first either! He then sent me the execution plans! On these plans, the architect changed the distance between two windows in the basement (reduced it), which caused this size difference! The reason was that otherwise, the windows in the basement would not have been aligned with those on the ground floor! Unfortunately, as the clients, we were neither informed about these changes by email, nor by post, nor by telephone agreement and accordingly did not approve them! Without much effort, the window on the ground floor could have been moved, as there is an open living/dining area, and then no walls or similar would have needed to be shifted!
Who is now responsible that the execution plans were simply changed without our consent and that we now have a different floor plan than planned?
I will submit drawings later as I am currently on the go! Regards ✌️
