This narrow window in the living room ... I always think of a prison. And Milkies' comment regarding the winter sun I find really appropriate. Until three years ago, I had an apartment with the main room facing east .. okay. But now my main room has windows facing east and south. That is just so great, especially in winter but also in summer, because such a beautiful bright room.

What does your architect say? Also regarding energy impacts etc.
