For us, the advice was very contradictory. Our heating installer, a subcontractor of the general contractor, would have liked to sell the Junkers air-to-water heat pump and praised it to the skies. But the general contractor himself advised a gas boiler because, in his opinion, the pumps are more prone to faults and defects and also need to be replaced sooner and do not last as long. Such a gas boiler, he said, usually serves without major defects for about 15 years based on human experience, which air-to-water heat pumps do not.
So, as conservative as we are, it became gas. K.
The recommended option is precisely the one where you can make good profits and have experience.
Why should anyone offer a heat pump monoblock for €2,500 when they can offer gas or a more expensive heat pump for €5,000–15,000?
I am installing one myself in the new building because several friends of ours have already had very good experiences with the Geisha.
And at the low price, I can buy another Geisha in 10 years if it breaks and still come out ahead.
