Karsten, these are usually the people who supposedly save. So in new buildings they operate in on/off mode, don’t adjust anything, etc.
The settings are about saving as much as possible with the greatest possible comfort and, above all, working in a way that is gentle on the materials.
We also have a gas boiler running around the house. I also adjusted it for a long time. Now the boiler runs continuously on the smallest flame below 7 degrees [AT]. And that with a constant room temperature of 22 degrees. Nobody here really has to freeze.

Measured and perceived temperatures can vary greatly from house to house (and of course also from person to person). For one person, 21°C in house X is comfortable, while in house Y the comfort temperature only sets in at 24°C. Person B needs 23°C in the first house, and in house Y maybe 25°C is still enough...
