Thank you. Yes, I am glad that the heating engineer and the general contractor were so accommodating with the Hotboy. It is definitely better to heat with underfloor heating. Do you have a way to contact your heating engineer? Mine is on vacation. It would be very interesting for me to know whether the hot water generation of the Unitower is possible without a heat pump. If everything goes according to plan, the commissioning of my 13.6 kWp photovoltaic system will take place on 03.01. Then, starting in February, I could somewhat align the hot water generation with the photovoltaic yield.

Just my "assumption," the tower alone will not be enough for hot water generation. Despite the heating element. I also don’t even know what the element will actually draw? So far, our heating element has not yet "kicked in." We had temperatures as low as -10.5°C during the last few nights. The air-to-water heat pump was already running through that. And the photovoltaic system only helps with power feed-in for a few hours. Not much is coming down at the moment. Almost the entire day is just cloudy and overcast. I’m crossing my fingers that you will soon get a complete, functioning air-to-water heat pump from Vaillant.

The heating element must of course be activated. There are also specific instructions for this in the installation manual of the Unitower.
Your findings regarding the photovoltaic yields are not new. From February I already have over 600 kWh, in March over 1100 kWh per month.
Where does your "assumption" come from?

December has currently only generated 124.4 kwh for me. Feb.21 was at 252.4 kwh and March at 525.9 kwh, only from April did I approach the 1000 mark. I already understand that the heating element must be activated. ;)

Maybe you tell me the size of your system and your possible annual yield?

have just under 13 kWp distributed on E/W and South since the end of May. Annual yield so far: 10744.3 kWh From Jan-May 9.9 kWp
