These are optimizations for those interested. You can also simply heat according to the heating curve as with the gas heater.

With a heat pump, this is worth it if you feel like it. With gas, not.

You can do that too, but it’s uneconomical. The same goes for gas, by the way, although not as much.

Maintenance of a heat pump is in my opinion a myth. The comparison with an air conditioner is flawed. Air conditioner maintenance means leak detection and disinfection. The latter is unnecessary for heat pumps, the former is easy to monitor. Of course, there are components that wear out, e.g. heating pump, but you don’t maintain those. Either broken or not broken.

Of course, this is just as worthwhile with a gas heating system. However, it does not have the same effects. But a gas boiler also breaks down faster if it constantly cycles on and off due to incorrect or unsuitable settings, and savings are just as possible if simply less gas is used because the heating curve and hot water preparation are matched to consumption.

When I read this ... I can't even set my Buderus 172-14 to below 30 degrees C flow temperature

It's also warm in the cabin for that.- When you're invited to someone who's such a penny pincher and always fiddles with the heating, you notice the difference. Brrrrr.

Not necessary. I don’t skimp on the temperatures. Everything is adjusted according to the outside temperature. In the bedroom, it’s constantly 19-20°C no matter what, whereas the living room gladly has 24°C (the sun helps here). Still, I don’t want to pay more than necessary. So the gas boiler is also set to consume only what is necessary. Nothing is turned up. The system does everything on its own.

And when the temperatures allow, there is no heating at all. Just like right now and since about yesterday noon. Only this morning the heating was briefly on because of hot water consumption for showering. At the moment, the flow temperature is just under 23°C
