Did you pay for the first aborted attempt? If yes, I would get that back from the construction company. That is quite botched.

It will be exciting to see what else comes. As a layperson, I cannot imagine that it is correct that the spacers were partially concreted into the frost skirt. Or that they peek through under the formwork boards. If the spacers fit through there, the concrete will also flow through there. Are the architect and construction manager provided or paid by the general contractor? Then you can assume that the construction manager does not necessarily represent YOUR interests, but those of the general contractor. If it already starts like this with the base slab, you should definitely get YOUR OWN expertise. Especially since you yourself say that you have no idea about construction. PS: Is it just the pictures, or is the frost skirt not poured to the same height on all sides?

Do these steel angles actually count as reinforcement? We also had them back then for the basement floor, but the steel mesh was integrated into these angles. The meshes are lying in the one photo to the right of the Dixoklo. If the concrete for the foundation had worked out and the rest of the floor slab had been done, they wouldn’t just have been able to throw the meshes onto the angles, would they? With us, they were there forever and fixed everything with small wires so that nothing shifted.

Somehow I feel like a lot of steel is missing in your pictures? Did you compare the situation on site with the reinforcement plans?

No, of course not. I won't either.

As already mentioned, I have meanwhile commissioned an independent construction supervision and they are also knowledgeable on the subject.
So far, everything is okay.
The formwork is not yet completely finished. In addition, it has not yet been brought to the correct height. It still needs to be higher. That means soil must be placed against it from the outside so that the concrete cannot flow underneath. They simply used the spacers so that the formwork would not fall into the strip foundation. I also do not like that they were partially concreted in, but I believe that is ultimately not relevant. I will, however, raise this again.

Yes, the meshes are still in front next to the Dixi. They are supposed to be for the reinforcement.
According to the site manager, they wanted to do everything in one day. That is, pour the strip foundation, then reinforcement and formwork, and then pour the slab.
But I really can't imagine that, since tying the reinforcement usually already takes one day.
As I said, the construction supervision is involved and if something is not kosher, they write immediately.
For example, they currently want proof of the delivered concrete for the strip foundation and a statement from the structural engineer whether there are any problems if the strip foundation was not poured to the same height right away. Because that is the case. At the back about 50 cm of height are missing.

What are reinforcement plans?
