Does the insulation under the floor slab have to extend to the formwork?

That was probably asking too much after all, and in case it has not yet been concreted, I will quickly provide standard jargon (quote ) or gibberish (quote ):
[*] Round or strip steel for foundation earth electrodes is to be installed as a closed ring in the area of the outer walls and not diagonally through the reinforcement. [*] Round or strip steel for functional equipotential bonding conductors in non-earth-contacting floor slabs is to be installed similarly along the outer walls. [*] According to DIN 18014, round/strip steel must be screwed to the reinforcement every 2 m; according to the lightning protection standard series not responsible here, this would only be required every 5 m, but this is also not observed in the photos. [*] In new buildings, hot-dip galvanized connection tabs on foundation earth electrodes are expressly prohibited according to 6.3 Materials for connection components; the lightning protection standards have always required at least insulation at the outlet for hot-dip galvanized strip steel as corrosion protection. In my role as site manager, I would have accepted a round conductor made of steel/galvanized steel in a plastic sheath. [*] According to DIN 18014, measurement documentation is required both for the frost skirt and the floor slab. [*] The standard compliance of the frost skirt cannot be assessed due to lack of pictures; no connections to the reinforcement of the floor slab were visible. [*] Whether at least the floor slab is in earth contact and a ring earth electrode is not required cannot be derived from the pictures.
If I have annoyed any of the reading users again with overly academic or rocket-science elevated formulations or possibly with standard references, I, as a standards-obsessed VDE lightning protection specialist, ask in advance for leniency.

I’m going to respond to your post once more, then you’ll unfortunately have to talk to yourself. I don’t want to end up like the banker here, who had conflicts with various users over every financing question.

Here is a brief post from me. Have you already forgotten this or what’s going on?

Furthermore, you could have clicked on my name to see that I wasn’t online at all. So I didn’t even have the chance to respond to it. But even if I had, as I already let on, I wouldn’t have been able to. By the way, making people look stupid in front of others is rather not a popular trait. But that’s just beside the point.

Now I know why.

Good night

To make this fit the thread a bit more: The OP should indeed take the advice regarding the expert. That is well-invested money for you and especially for the craftsmen. You can also open a thread here and present different phases of your construction there. If questions come up, there are certainly enough users who read along and could give you an answer.

It already looks pretty damn bad. The colleagues probably have 7 other projects and "just have to get it done."
